FAQs – UNMASKED
“What if I don’t feel ‘interesting enough’ to be in an exhibition?”
Oh hello, imposter syndrome - didn’t see you there. Honestly, this comes up all the time. If you've got a business and a mask you've been hiding behind (and we all do), you’ve got something powerful to share.
“I hate having my photo taken. Will you help me?”
100%. You’re not expected to know what to do in front of the camera - that’s my job. I’ll guide you every step of the way so you feel comfortable, confident, and fully yourself. This is about real presence, not forced poses.
“Do I have to physically wear a mask?”
Yes - you will be sent a plain white mask of which you’ll have to decorate to reflect. Don’t worry there are the first UNMASKERS on hand to help you. It’s powerful, honest, and incredibly moving. And no, it’s not creepy - it’s art.
“Make-UP?”
You’ll be treated to professional styling - this will be minimal make-up if you wish and is optional.
“Are refreshments provided?”
Of course nobody does vulnerability well on an empty stomach. Light refreshments and drinks will be available during your slot to keep you fuelled and comfortable.
“How will the shoot days be organised?”
The full shoot will take place over 3 days with specific time slots allocated for each participant. You’ll receive your time in advance so you can plan around it. No long waits, no chaos just your moment to shine.
We’ll also have a Whatsapp group and Zoom call with all participants before the shoot to meet each other, talk through the full itinerary, and answer any questions. You’ll feel totally prepped, calm, and ready to go when the day arrives.
“Is this a safe and inclusive space?”
Absolutely. This space is open to all genders, identities, backgrounds, and bodies. You will be welcomed, respected, and supported exactly as you are no exceptions. Vulnerability only works when we feel safe, and that’s something I take very seriously.
“Can I meet the other people involved?”
Yes! While the shoot itself you will be with me is one-one and you’ll see others turning up for their slots, the VIP exhibition event brings us all together in person. You'll meet the other brilliant humans involved, share stories, and connect in a space full of warmth and mutual respect. It’s also a great networking opportunity if you want to link up with like-minded business owners.
“Where will the exhibition be held?”
The venue is currently being confirmed, but will be just off the M40 in Buckinghamshire. Expect a beautifully curated space worthy of the powerful work we’re creating.
