Charlottes Story
Charlotte spent much of her life wearing the “good girl” mask - overly helpful, giving too much of herself, striving to fit in and be seen as compliant. Behind the role of successful bookkeeper and business owner, she hid a deeper, more authentic self: a soul on a mission to heal, guide, and empower others.
Her journey has been shaped by religious trauma, the pain of feeling different, and parenting a child who had endured deep trauma. These experiences could have left her feeling small and restricted, but Charlotte has instead used them as a compass to step into her truth. She discovered that the more she acts in alignment with her soul, the stronger, freer, and more authentic she becomes - and that rebellion, in the service of healing, can be beautiful.
Now, Charlotte stands fully visible as a healer, helping others release trauma, step into their own power, and reconnect with their soul selves. For her, visibility is about showing up completely - without labels, without pretense, and with the courage to let the world see the real her. Through her story, she teaches that living in alignment with your soul is not just transformative - it’s liberating.
Exhibition Synopsis
Charlotte has stepped beyond the “good girl” mask to embrace her true self as a healer and guide. She shows that authentic visibility - living in alignment with your soul - unlocks freedom, joy, and the power to transform others.
“This mask is a part of the journey of me stepping into my soul self and showing this to the world. A journey of leaving behind the people pleasing good girl and being true to my soul and fiery nature, an unlearning of sorts.
The words on it "I am not who you think I am - I am so much more" (from the song 'I Am' by Fia) resonate deeply - starting with the words "You've been trying to put me in a box for years" a truth that I believe speaks to so many of us as we journey through the process of Unmasking our true self.
The mask represents an opening of the third eye and an unveiling of the truth of the person beneath all the layers that have been put upon me by society's expectations and a declaration of being unashamedly myself going forwards.”
